Day 8 - December 17 - Garmisch - A bit of Sunshine

Hurray - we had sunshine today. Everything is so much more beautiful!

We walked in the pedestrian zone. Ron picked up two turtlenecks - one is ORANGE - a new color for him. You will see it later with his gray blazer! The shop windows are gorgeous, and sales are going on. Sorry I packed too much! The boot selection here is amazing - they all look so cute you want them all!

A small visit to the casino - my luck continued to be abysmal, but we (mostly Ron) managed to earn enough in the 1-cent EU machines to buy groceries for several days and have Euros left over.

The beauty of the mountains and blue skies - love it!

Mary at Casino - we will see the original statue of the wild boar in Florence

Klammstrasse - we seem to be there a lot!

Colosseo and grocery store on Klammstrasse

Creche in Marienplatz (Garmisch)

Alte Apotheke in Marienplatz

Tonight we are cooking in our apartment. Getting coverage from CNN in English of terrible massacre at elementary school in Connecticut. Such a horrible tragedy!!
